PUBLIC NOTICE FOR BID

Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Bloom Township Road Department, 36 E. South Street (rear), Lithopolis, OH 43136, until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the project known as 2012 Summer Resurfacing and Repair Project for Bloom Township Roads. Contract documents, bid sheets, plans and specifications can be obtained at said Road Department office.

Proposals will be opened and read aloud Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the Bloom Township Board of Trustees regular business meeting which begins at 7:30 p.m. and is held at 8490 Lithopolis Road, Carroll OH 43112.

Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of $450,000.  Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.

Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein.  Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity.

All Contractors and Subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project.

Bidders must comply with the Ohio Prevailing Wage Rates on this Public Improvement in Fairfield County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, 614-644-2239.

The Trustees reserve the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
