As shown in Table 7, population growth in the next 20 years could be accommodated by existing available lots if the Township grows according to the constant rate method. Existing available lots could not accommodate projected growth if it occurs according to the cohort component method. However, it is unlikely that no more subdivisions or lot splits will develop within the next 20 years. Therefore, it is anticipated that the Township’s residential capacity will more than adequately meet the demands of the growing population within the timeframe of the Plan.



The Fairfield County Development Strategy & Land Use Plan included residential projections based upon the County’s future land use plan. Those projections are showed below in Table 8. Based on the County plan, the Township could accommodate over 10,000 dwelling units if it built out at the recommended densities. Based upon anticipated population growth, there is more than enough capacity to meet future need.
